Toshiba expands its notebook portfolio with the beginners series Satellite C650 and C650D. To launch a total of eight models come at a price 499-699 € in the trade.
Depending on the configuration of the 15-inch notebooks to work with an Intel Celeron processor in the 900 series, Pentium T4400, T4500 (C650) or an AMD Athlon CPU of type II P320 (C650D). The DDR3 memory up to 4 gigabytes in size, hard disk capacity of 250-500 GB.
The 15.6-inch TruBrite display with LED-backlit display offers a native 16:9 resolution of 1366 by 768 pixels. It is controlled by Intel’s Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M or AMD’s ATI Radeon HD 4200 (D models).
Of communications options are available (802.11b/g/n) wireless and Fast Ethernet. Other facilities include a VGA webcam, a multi-in-1 card reader, a Multitouchpad gesture control and a dual-layer DVD burner.
For connecting peripherals with two USB 2.0 ports and a VGA output are available. The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit).
The units of the new Satellite series measure 38 by 25 by 3.8 inches and weigh at least 2.4 pounds. The battery life of the manufacturers are up to 3.5 hours with the AMD models and up to 4 hours and 20 minutes at the Intel versions.
In addition to the entry and C650D C650 Series, Toshiba Satellite series, the L650, L650D, L670, L670D and A660 started. They include models with screen sizes of 15.6, 16 and 17.3 inches for prices 699-1549 €.
