The Japanese company Sigma is committed to bring to the counters the long-awaited digital compact camera DP1. Another evidence of this commitment is the recently published price – in the UK market Sigma DP1 will be sold for 550 pounds (1083 U.S. dollars). Modification with additional viewfinder, mounted in a “shoe”, the user cost of 600 pounds (1,180 U.S. dollars).
These high prices reflect the internal structure of the camera, which is a hybrid technology used in digital SLR cameras and compact body, characteristic of “tsifromylnits.” The model is based a 14-megapixel sensor Foveon (2652 × 1768 × 3 pixels) in size in seven – twelve times higher than that of tsifrokompaktov. For the image processing processor responds “TRUE” (Three-layer Responsive Ultimate Engine), used in the construction of the flagship DSLR-Camera Sigma SD14.
Availability and Pricing Sigma DP1 camera in the markets of other countries have not yet been identified.
