Siemens has sent a new department at the start: The Communications Group has today first October 2004 he started work. The area is represented in more than 160 countries. It is headed by Lothar Pauly, and in three segments: Carrier Networks, Enterprise Networks and Devices is divided with a total of eight business areas. The area consists of five board members: Lothar Pauly takes over the chairmanship in addition to the support of mobile and fixed networks in the carrier segment. Michael Kutschenreuter is responsible for the finances. Anton Hendrik Schaaf is acting as Chief Technology Officer and also manages the service for carrier customers. Andy W. Mattes is responsible for the enterprise business and Thorsten Heins for business with the devices.

“With Siemens Communications, we have two clear strategic directions,” said Lothar Pauly. “Firstly, we will expand our established business toward end-to-end solutions from core to the respective terminals.
