It has room for up to 16 TS8 server racks with a total of 752 units of height space. With external dimensions of three meters wide and 3.25 meters in height, it is each a good 60 inches above the ISO standard. The additional space will benefit according to the manufacturer technicians and administrators who have more free space for installation and maintenance.

The Rittal data center containers are equipped with a reinforced outer shell as well as fire and burglary protection. They are supplied with UPS, fire detection and extinguishing system, power supply and distribution systems, raised floor, Gangschottung, access control and monitoring from Rittal. The design enables a separation of hot and cold aisle, in order to cool only those portions actually needed and necessary to reduce the total energy expenditure.

Depending on outside temperature and ratios also direct free cooling is possible, in filtered outside air directly into the container. According to Rittal reach the container a PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) of less than 1.2.

The Data Center containt XL is designed according to the manufacturer for medium to very high demand for computing power and large corporations, or hosting provider. The equipment can be standardized.
