The device measures 109 x 60 x 14 millimeters and weighs 122 grams, the 2.44-inch LCD solves a maximum of 480 x 360 pixels. It is equipped with a light sensor that adjusts the brightness to the ambient lighting conditions.
The quad-band device allows UMTS and HSDPA connections. It also ruled WLAN 802.11b / g, but does not support the faster n standard. The encryption is done by WPA or WPA2. GPS is also available.
In addition, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 with 512 MB of flash memory and a micro SD slot, which allows for memory expansion up to 32 GB. A Micro-SD with 2 GB of memory is included. The integrated 5-megapixel camera comes with autofocus, photo light, digital zoom and video function.
The battery life is with the manufacturer 22 days (Standby mode). The talk time is up to six hours, the built-in MP3 player can use 36 hours. The Blackberry Bold is available in November 9780, a price not yet called RIM.
