Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) has appointed Marco Schröter as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). It is his job to 14 March show, and also occupy a seat on the board of the network joint ventures.
Schröter succeeds Luca Maestri, who joins as CFO of Xerox. He has an MBA from the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster and powered on a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Saarland.
Schröter last two years was chief financial officer of Infineon, where he was responsible for human resources. In early August he resigned “due to differing views on the future business policy” from the Board of the Munich semi-conductor manufacturer. Prior to joining Infineon Schröter was CFO at Schenker and active in various leadership roles in planning and finance at Stinnes AG.
“Marco Schröter can look back on an impressive success story in terms of disciplined financial management, contribution to growth and shareholder value,” said NSN CEO Rajeev Suri. “I am confident that he brings the right skills and experience to help Nokia Siemens Networks to the next higher level of performance to lift.”
Schroeter himself said on his appointment as CFO, NSN: “I have carefully considered and Nokia Siemens Networks’m convinced that the company is now in its strongest position – and I’m looking forward to the team in such an important time to join able. “
Currently NSN strives for the purchase of Motorola’s network division. The EU has already approved the transaction. The Chinese rival Huawei wants to stop the takeover, but by court decision, because it fears that NSN This gives access to its intellectual property.
