Compared with the previous quarter, revenue rose 9 percent. Compared with the fourth quarter of 2010 were down 18 percent. € 7 billion was attributable to the business units and services, 232 million euro to the subsidiary Navteq, in the joint venture Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) contributed 3.2 billion euros. The profit climbed 32 percent year over year to 175 million to 231 million euros. This corresponds to a profit of 9 cents per share. The operating profit stood at 439 million euros compared to 488 million euros in the first quarter of 2010. NSN was a surprise to some 3 million euros. Analysts had expected a loss. P>

In the first quarter of 2011, Nokia sold 108.5 million phones in total, representing an increase of 1 percent over the previous year. The smart phone business rose 13 percent to 24.2 million units sold. Sales of feature phones, fell 2 percent to 84.3 million units. The profit from both divisions holds less balance: 3,532 million euros accounted for feature phones, smartphones at € 3.555 million. P>
Nokia last quarter reached an average selling price (ASP) from 65 €, compared to 62 € and 69 € in the same quarter in the previous quarter. P>
For the current second fiscal quarter of 2011 expected the Finns to the department & services, equipment sales from 6.1 to 6.6 billion euros. The Einküfte Nokia Siemens Networks will range between 3,2 and 3.5 billion €. The Group believes, however, that the consequences of the disaster in Japan at least affect his business until the fall.
