In the videos from Microsoft employees important functions of selected office applications. One focus is on online collaboration. With PowerPoint 2010 and SharePoint Server, a user can, for example using “PowerPoint Broadcast” to send a presentation directly to the PC of a colleague. This looks at the presentation directly in the browser, without having to have PowerPoint installed. P> p>
Using the Edit Web Applications 2010 field staff to travel through a browser like Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari Office documents within the company. They have a similar surface, together with Ribbon Design (Office Fluent), as in the applications themselves P>
Microsoft Office Mobile 2010 offers programs for mobile phones. An interesting feature: a mobile browser can open Office documents on a dedicated server. These documents are then converted into a web page from the server and view as a Web site sends to the mobile device. This is to any phone with a browser can open these documents. P>
Otherwise, the films show various new features of the individual Office programs: The “Slicer” for Excel 2010, which is “cut out” parts of a data collection can. The “Document Map” for Word 2010, an outline view with full-text search and editing capabilities, and the “Quick Steps” in Outlook 2010 for the automation of workflows without macro programming. P>
Office 2010 is the first version of Office software suite, as the 32 – and will be 64-bit version. The launch will not take place this year but in early 2010. Parallel to the client to develop Microsoft AJAX and Silverlight-based web-based version. They should not offer the full functionality. Even in July, Microsoft plans to distribute a technical preview version to selected developers. P>
