The development team of Windows Mobile has announced via Twitter that the work had been completed on version 6.5 of the mobile operating system from Microsoft. “For the record, Windows Mobile 6.5 is DONE … complete … looks really good and every bit Yoho functional,” says the Twitter feed of the WM-Dev team.
The software can now be distributed to handset manufacturers. First smartphones with the new operating system in the fall will come on the market.
Windows Mobile 6.5 offers a completely redesigned user interface that is tailored to the needs of touch-screen devices. Program links it arranges them in a webähnlichen structure.
