Inertial sensors – accelerometers and gyroscopic instruments – detect and measure the movements of the camera when a photo is taken. The software uses these calculations to the photo, by adapting the information within the digital image file. P> p>

The idea is not entirely new: many are working to resolve the uncertainty problem. Modern cameras, such as Samsung have ST550, already has a built-in accelerometer. Microsoft’s approach to what appears to be by far the most promising. The researchers are building on existing applications and are now focusing on making the algorithm more effective. P>

The majority of digital cameras is still on optical methods for image stabilization. Their effectiveness is limited: they function poorly, if at a shutter speed of 1 / 10 second or slower photographed, the focal length of the lens plays a role. P>
