Omnitel is Europe’s second largest mobile operator with more than seven million customers. Infostrada, with more than 2 million customers of the leading alternative fixed line operator in Italy. Mannesmann has since its inception in 1994, participated in Omnitel and acquired a share in 1997 Infostrada.
