Amazon has confirmed the malfunction of its cloud services in Europe. This was due to a lightning strike that has paralyzed the weekend the power of a computer center in the Irish capital Dublin. “A lightning hit a transformer of a power utility company for our Availability Zones in Dublin and triggered an explosion and a fire,” says a Sunday evening on the state Web site of the Amazon Web Services published report.
