Intel, at its meeting house AppUp Elements announced that it has entered into an agreement with the Israeli navigation provider Telmap. Telmap also controls location-based services, search and content with how Peter Biddle, who announced AppUp responsible for Intel’s manager, in a blog entry. He did not name a price.

Biddle, according to Intel Telmap, will continue as an independent subsidiary. If it were “a step in expanding our capabilities in mobile services.” Telmap provides “white label” navigation solutions here, as well as maps and location-based products. In AppUp Center is an online App Store. Intel has started it with the aim to attract developers for its mobile devices designed for Atom processors.

“Telmap will also allow us to provide developers with great AppUp, differentiated opportunities for location software – in the form of a standard set of location-based APIs and software, the programmer can easily integrate into their applications AppUp” writes Biddle.
