HTC has launched a developer program called HTCdev to life. It should consist of tools, resources and a community. Apparently, both are supported by operating systems running HTC – Android and Windows Phone 7
HTCdev The program is designed to help developers worldwide in all sectors, whether individuals or corporations. The website is expected to go www.HTCdev.com “Summer 2011″ online. There should there be an extensive resource library with tutorials, best-practice examples and documentation. The website will also provide a “feedback channel” containing the user can send criticism and suggestions for the developer’s toolset and the program.
HTCdev will replace the program launched last year, “HTC Pro.” Simultaneously with the announcement was an open-sense software developer kit (SDK) for Android presented. Programmers to integrate their software into the surface of HTC Sense 3.0. The framework also offers interfaces and sample code for 3D displays and the digital pen of the HTC flyer.
The HTC sense open SDK that HTC will release in parallel with the launch of the new website HTCdev.com promises to update it regularly and expand – based on suggestions from the developer community.
“We firmly believe in the principles of openness and ingenuity to innovate, and are pleased to provide HTCdev with new tools for developers to create the next level of mobile experience,” says CEO Peter Chou. HTC is finally “a company of engineers.”
The website is already activated HTCdev.com. Developers can register there, but only for a notification that the HTC sense open SDK is available.
