HTC (image: HTC) Apparently there is now but an update to Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) for the HTC. Once the mobile phone manufacturers had announced yesterday on his Facebook page that the announced upgrade because of insufficient storage capacity will not appear for the Desire, he rowed back now.
“Gingerbread is now coming straight onto HTC!” Writes HTC now on Facebook. Reason for the confusion is apparently a misunderstanding between the development department and the PR team. “Yesterday we sadly prematurely passed on the statement of our development team – sorry.”

The Desire HTC had introduced together with the Legend in February 2010 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. In the ZDNet test it convinces with its excellent display and its many facilities. The operating system was used to start in April 2010 nor Android 2.1 (Eclair). In August, followed by an update on Android 2.2 (Froyo).
