Google organizes second Android Developer Challenge

Google at its developer conference, Google I / O in San Francisco announced its second competition for Android programmers. From August, developers can submit their applications in ten categories including games, social networking, travel and education.

Each application must be proposed only for a category. The applications for Android 1.5 must be programmed and English. Other terms and conditions are to follow in June.

For all proposals submitted program meets Google a pre-selection. In the second round of the Android user can then elect the winners from 200 proposals. For each of the ten categories, three winners will be awarded to receive 100,000, 50,000 and 25,000 dollars. The overall winner of the two-stage competition across all categories to win $ 150,000. The runner up receives $ 50,000 overall, finishing third in the overall standings to go $ 25,000. The winners will be announced in mid-November.
