Google has introduced a range of business functions for its Chrome browser. The search engine giant announced yesterday in a blog post. With the new features it should have administrators easier to carry out deployment and management in large companies.

With an MSI installer that contains all the files of the program, administrators can leverage their existing deployment solution to automate install the browser on the client PCs.

Furthermore, many options are configurable via Group Policy. These include the home page, the default search engine and a possible proxy server. Also, security requirements can be managed centrally, such as whether a history of visited pages is stored or whether the user can synchronize its settings via a Google Account. Extensions and plug-ins can be via Black-and white-listing allowed or prohibited.
