Interested users can now download the German beta of Windows Live Messenger. The software is the direct successor of MSN Messenger and part of Microsoft’s new Internet services Windows Live family.
While the new Microsoft Messenger is not yet officially applied for, the download is still possible. So far, only participants use the official beta test the software because only their Passport account was enabled for it.
The new features in Windows Live Messenger include a revised interface and options for online synchronization of file folders. There is also a common address book for future instant messaging and e-mail service.
Update: Meanwhile, Microsoft seems to unlock for all Passport accounts have to be lifted. Use of the software is limited to participants to continue the beta testing possible.
Update 2: The new link under the download available version works with any Passport account .
