Tom Stocky Facebook has hired as its new director for products. He was previously a longstanding employee of Google. Stocky was the change announced on his website. Facebook has already confirmed his appointment as All Things Digital reported.
Stocky has several accounts of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He co-founded Google’s Developer product team. Stocky last worked as director of product management in Zurich, where he was responsible for the search, client and infrastructure products from Google. According to his LinkedIn profile, he joined the company in January 2005.
On Facebook there are a number of product director. Peter has had a Deng, who last week unveiled the new chat function of the service. According to All Things Digital is unclear what will concentrate Stocky. Rumor has it the social network is keen to turn his focus again on relationships with developers.
Between Facebook and Google has erupted several years ago an ongoing struggle for brainiacs. In March 2010, about advertising expert David Fischer was changed from Google to Facebook. In November, he was succeeded Lars Rasmussen, one of the leading developers of Google Maps and Google was now set wave. As All Things Digital notes, the struggle goes for the staff mostly good: you either get good contracts with their new employer or a better offer from her old one.
