Utimaco Safeguard PDA 3.0 has brought to market. The product is designed to protect mobile devices through authentication and encryption mechanisms against unauthorized operation and data theft. The software is available both as a staff and an enterprise edition. Both versions offer smartphone owners the opportunity to lead active outbound calls without having to login to the device need. All data is protected while still access via authentication mechanisms such as passwords, symbols, sequences of numbers or biometric identification mechanisms. Companies can disable the phone function and Bluetooth, or infrared wireless communications for more network security.

In the new version of security software now can next to files and directories and the internal databases of personal information management (PIM) are individually encrypted. E-mails, SMS, tasks, appointments and contacts are therefore no longer be viewed without authorization. Even after a hard reset of the PDA’s security settings remain active and available data for authorized users.
