Ebay has appointed Dirk Weber as CEO of the German branch. He will fill the post parallel to his position as Legal Director EU Marketplaces compliance, the company said.
Weber has since 2001 employed by eBay. His predecessor, Stephen duty had been appointed CEO in March of Brands4Friends. Ebay had taken over the online shopping club in January for about 150 million euros to expand the strategic business fashion and lifestyle. Customs will handle the further expansion of the segment in Europe.
The post of managing director of eBay Germany had duty on 1 August 2009 by Frerk-Malte Feller taken. Previously, he led the Advertising Group and the distributor of the online business marketplace.
In the second quarter, eBay was able to increase its sales by 25 percent to $ 2.8 billion. The GAAP net profit up 31 percent on the other hand broke a 283 million dollars. For the full fiscal year 2011, the Group expects revenues from 11.3 to 11.6 billion dollars. The GAAP equity income is expected to be 2.41 to 2.44 dollars.
