Cloud.com CEO Sheng Liang will continue to be responsible for design, architecture and technology of cloud-stack products. He will report to Sameer Dholakia, group vice president and general manager of the newly formed Cloud Platforms Product Group at Citrix.

With the purchase of Cloud.com Citrix now has a complete portfolio of virtualization and orchestration as well as for the network infrastructure in the cloud environment. The open architecture of the products are not tied to particular producers. Clients, hardware, software and service providers use their own choice.

The Cloud.com product line will continue to support both the commercial solutions, Citrix XenServer and VMware vSphere as well as open-source hypervisors such as Xen.
