Deuromedia seeks beta testers for its multimedia interface viewer. It is a portal for receiving digital multimedia infotainment content that can be installed on any computer or TV with set-top box, DVB-card.
Testers will receive free access to 250 digital radio and television programs, 500 newsgroups, and 500 top Internet sites. According to the company’s planned expansion to a Web channels for tele-learning, e-commerce and entertainment content as well as news, weather reports, stock quotes, sports scores and video.
As part of the beta test users are able to influence the selection of program itself: Deuromedia will use the feedback to the individual tester to determine preferences and expand the current selection of frequently requested Web sites and newsgroups.
The final version of the multimedia platform, “the viewer” is from 1 January 2000 via free download (www.the-viewer.com) will be available.
