Asia Optical and Flextronics will create a company producing cameras

In a crisis, bring together several companies is one way to stay afloat. Taiwanese manufacturer of optical lenses and digital cameras, Asia Optical, together with Singapore’s industrial giant Flextronics International decided to establish a joint venture with headquarters in Hong Kong, which will deal with the release of cameras. Production of the new company will focus on markets in Taiwan, China and Japan.

The new company will use the operational resources of their creators. So, Asia Optical promises to provide their technologies in the field of optical zoom and integrated optical, electronic and mechanical parts. In turn, Flextronics also share the operating time of their R & D department and will offer its production capacity.

Any details on the investments in new venture were not disclosed.

– Asustek and Gigabyte formed Gigabyte Union;
- JVC and Kenwood founded a joint company.
