The online service AOL (Frankfurt Stock Exchange: AOL) and the U.S. telecommunications company AT & T are negotiating “seriously” about a collaboration. The reports of the American newspaper USA Today.
The plan is that AOL is offering for AT & T long distance calls. The users should be able to settle this with the AOL account. The deal could come from no earlier than July 2000, because until then the American company Tel-Save.com the exclusive right to market for AT & T long distance calls.
The newspaper further reported, AOL is under pressure because the service need $ 500 million for the expansion of its network.
