Acer has introduced

five new notebooks designed based on modern mobile platform Intel Huron River. List of new products includes 14-inch models TravelMate 6495, 8481, TravelMate Timeline 8473, as well as a 15.6-inch notebook TravelMate 6595 and 8573.

All models are equipped with powerful Intel Core second-generation LED-backlit 1366 x 768, DDR3-memory up to 8GB, Intel HD graphics accelerator 3000 or the discrete GeForce technology to support Optimus, hard drive capacity to 750GB (models 8573 and 8473 may also include a 128-GB SSD), DVD-recorder. PowerSmart-battery provides 8-9 hours of battery life. Also, new items include network adapters, Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth-module, card reader, USB 3.0-interface, Web camera Crystal Eye. There is support for technology Wireless Display.

Prices TravelMate 6495, 8481, 8473, 6595 and 8573 in European stores are 872, 1049, 647, 872 and 623 euros respectively.
