Depending on the configuration, the netbook with an Intel Atom N455 processor type (single core, 1.66 GHz) or N570 (Dual Core, 1.66 GHz) equipped. He is assisted by a maximum of 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and up to 250 GB of hard drive space to the side.

The 10.1-inch display with LED backlight, depending on the model and solves matte or glossy 1024 x 600 pixels at (WSVGA). The control takes over Intel’s integrated GMA graphics chip 3150th

Are available for communication (802.11b) wireless and Fast Ethernet. Bluetooth 3.0 HS is also available. Other facilities include a memory card reader, HD audio, a webcam and a multi-gesture touchpad.

With the Aspire One 522 Acer provides for 299 € a netbook with high resolution display (1280 x 720 pixels) and AMD components, the dual-core-fusion-CPU C-50 and the DirectX 11 graphics chip Radeon HD 6250M on. According to ZDNet test it delivers significantly more power than atom-based netbooks graphics with DirectX 9 GPU. The battery life is up to 5.5 hours but appreciably lower.
