Acer has introduced a rack-dense server Altos R series, which can accommodate up to four two-and four-core processors from Intel’s Xeon series 7000th The prices for the model Altos R920 start at 7000 €, depending on configuration.

The high-end server provides four memory channels for up to 32 FBD memory modules (four DIMM memory cards for each of 8 modules) with a total capacity of 128 GB. Extensions are possible over seven x8 PCI Express slots. Furthermore, up to four Gigabit Ethernet ports.

In chassis form factor with 4 HU for up to eight hot-swap SAS hard drives. They support RAID modes 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10

Acer Altos R920 delivers the package with a software that Acer Advanced Server Manager (ASM), Easy build and e-Business Value Pack includes. The manufacturer offers a three year warranty.
